Augusta, GA – March 15, 2016 — Recognizing the great challenges faced by returning military service members and their families, the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving (RCI) program has expanded its signature military caregiver program, Operation Family Caregiver (OFC), for the second straight year into August, GA.  Augusta was selected due to its high concentration of post-9/11 veterans, active military personnel, and guard/reservists.

Augusta, GA – January 25, 2016 – The Augusta Warrior Project (AWP) announced today their partnership with the Augusta-Richmond County Continuum of Care (CoC) regarding their annual Point-In-Time (PIT) count. The annual PIT count is conducted to determine the number of homeless families and individuals in Augusta-Richmond County. The data in these surveys is anonymous and confidential and will be collected from January 25th through January 26th and will focus on people’s housing status on the night of Monday, January 25th. The count is part of the Augusta-Richmond County Continuum of Care’s responsibilities under the federal McKinney-Vento programs, as well as its efforts to create community level information and data on the nature of homelessness locally.
